The role of the hospitalist is challenging and complex. In response to this challenge, Sound created the SIP Hospitalist Institute as an ongoing educational and professional development resource for our hospitalists. Highlights of the curriculum include: Clinical Conditions and Procedures, Personal and Professional Development, and Business of Hospitalist Medicine.
Sound provides in-depth orientations and trainings in leadership, communication, team building, risk management and the business of medicine with all physicians trained in our state-of-the-art web-based application. Our methodology is interactive and evidence-based; it incorporates both in-person and self-guided approaches.
Sound is a learning organization that supports and cultivates cross-team networking to build and disseminate hospitalist medical and practice knowledge. Sound holds regular regional and national conferences to develop sharing and networking opportunities. This expanding knowledge base far exceeds what is available to individually-run hospitalist practices. Sound is destined to set the standard among hospitalist organizations.
