Company Leadership

• Rolando Ruiz, M.D. – Regional Medical Officer, Arizona
  Dr. Ruiz was President and Chief Medical Officer for American Physicians, Inc. that merged with Sound in 2007. Prior to API, Dr. Ruiz was Senior Market Medical Executive for CIGNA HealthCare for Arizona, Nevada, Kansas and Missouri. Earlier in his career, Dr. Ruiz was in private practice and served as Medical Director and board member for the Danbury Office of Physician Services. He also was Chairperson for the Primary Care Compensation Committee and a member of the Utilization/Quality Management and the Standards of Care Committees. He earned his medical degree from Hahnemann Medical College and is board certified in internal medicine. Dr. Ruiz completed residency programs at the University of Miami Jackson Memorial Hospital and Danbury Hospital, Connecticut. Dr. Ruiz maintains active medical licensures in Arizona and Connecticut.
