SoundInstitute

The SoundInstitute™ learning platform was established to provide our physician colleagues opportunities for collaboration, education, and professional career development.

Combining in-person and on-line instruction the SoundInstitute provides a blended learning approach and focused on evidence-based concepts. Our interactive tools and modules offer self-guided courses through our state of the art Learning Management System. With Web 2.0 functionality, our physicians are able to share best practices in hospital medicine utilizing the SoundInstitute platform.

The SoundInstitute is based on six pillars of learning customized for our hospitalists and post-acute care physician colleagues:

  • Professional fee coding and documentation training
  • Diagnosis Related Groups (DRG) training
  • Risk management training
  • Communication skills and satisfaction training
  • Leadership and management training
  • Clinical and quality education

Under these six pillars, results are tracked in our Learning Management System for each physician including individual audits, 360° evaluations, results from our satisfactions surveys from patients, physicians, nursing staff and administration colleagues to ensure the targeted outcomes are met for our clinicians as well as our hospital partners.

In addition, the SoundInstitute is taking a defining role in the hospitalist and post-acute care arena with our career development program, Path to Leadership™. This program incorporates medical leadership & teamwork 360° assessments, continuing leadership education course work through American College of Physician Executives and Society of Hospital Medicine, as well as formal certified physician executive (CPE) education incorporated into our SoundInstitute Annual Sound Leadership Conference.
